The Mayor proposed, and Cr Vumbaui seconded, That a deputation consisting of the Mayor, and Cr Udy, representing the Counoil, and Mr Wyeth, Chairman of tho River Board, be asked to wait on tho Commissioner of Crown Lands in conneofiou with the matter of land north 61 • Greytowu.-Carried. *V The re|K>rt of .the Works Committee recommending the Council to'do work ui Revons and Jacksmia .roads, and the Finance Committee's report were adopted. The Works Committee reported as to the footway i u West Street, and the matter was allowed to stand over till next meeting. Mr Biggins ..waited on the Council requesting permission to put a culvert in West Street.-Leave was ..'granted, subject to tho work being done under the supervision of the Overseer. _ Cr Pabian was appointed on the Works Committee. . ■ ■':■'
