FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of we above Board was held on Saturday. Present—Messrs Tully (chairman), Matthews,: Harris, Moncton, Dowman, McDiugall and Bidwill. Tho amounts reported to! credit eras ordinary account £6ll 19s : 3d," imprest account £126 12 6d. Accounts amounting to £214 against ordinary arid £56 5s Correspondence outwards '.since last Meeting was read. The tender of-Biiokeridge ahd Reardea for No i Contract, Moron rocd at £3 its per'chain was acoepted.. .fyv' Engineer road hiß report re the deviation of. road near Pethenck's Bridge,
and. estimated the coat, exclusive o f®d, ftt'm ' i •'Re Mr Wall's road, the Ilngitiwf . reported Mr Wall.was willing to the land required,, and the cost of ftiakinjj a. road would be about £3o.—it - was resolved, That tenders be invited for nolt meeting . • .. In respect of the deviation near Petheriok'B Bridge. It was resolved that • Mr King be. asked to confer with Mr Skeot, and prepare the necessary plans for taking the line of road under the Public Works Acb. Mr Bidwill'fl motion ie the proceeds of toll was carried.
Mr Dowman's amendmont that £2OO of the toll money be expended in No. 5 , district boms< lost, it was resolved that gate be erected with the permission of' Messrs Bidwill m the'feuco near the Waihonga Ttridgo, for the convenience of the Board obtaining metal, Jt was resolved, That Mr Skeet prepare estimate of cost of continuing road froia end of Harrington's contract to tho bridges, Martinborough-Pahaoa road. . Tondeis were ordered to be invited for work at Pah Hill.' Vtaf After routine business the meoSpq adjourned .
