SPORTING.
ISLAND BAY MCES POSTPONED. A thunderstorm passed over Wellington this morning, and a steady rain has fallen since, The race meeting'at Island Bay is postponed till Monday. Later, The weather is now rapidly clearing up, and there, is every prospect of it being fine. The Island Bay races will, therefore, be proceeded with.
