A man named Patrick Hogan was softening dynamite in warm water (or tho purpoaa of blowing up tree stumps, and was in the act of attaching a cap, when the matter exploded. Fortunately Hojan missed th'o direct forco of the charge, but it Bent a lot of tin utensils tying tvboofc the hut, and Hozan was seriously eat .about the face and arm. Pi» trouaer* were completely torn off, but oddly without injuring tho skin. He hai been removed to the Hojpital, and is doing well.
