Wangahui, Auguat 80. The caso against Albert Stubbg for manslaughter in connection with the death of tho Maori, Ruhiruhi, ia just finiahod. It has been before tho Court all day. The Magistrate said tho evidence aa. to the violence used in ejecting the'deceased was too conflicting to warrant a coramital and the case was dismissed.
Mr Matthew Burnett, Temperance lecturer held large meetings at the Theatre on Saturday night and to-night. This afternoon he had a very auocesßful meeting with tho natives, when fourteen leading chiefs and 110 natives took the pledge,
