■ '•■"■'_' (Before H. A. Stbaword, R.M.,' aud.W, Booth, J.P.) '•.".", 'Enoch Cornwall v. A Bishop-Using abusiye language. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff, Mr Beard for defendant. Defendant pleaded not guilty. Plaintiff deposed thati on.the 19th July he and defendant were working together at Messrs Booth & Co.'s timber yard; whentho allowed abusive language was usod, in consequence of which plaintiff had to leave his work. Josoph Buud, sworn, stated that! ho heard neither plaintiff nor defendant say anything on the day referred to. In answer to Mr Beard he said be heard the defendant say he had to turn the wife of plaintiff out of his houae for misconduct. The case was dismissed and expenses of witness disallowed, Hiß Worship commenting strongly on his (witness') evidence.
EEaale v. E. L. Wnkeliu-Claun £6'l7s for trees taken by defendant's man off plaintiff's land. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff, Mr Beard for defendant. Irwin Armstrong deposed that he had a contract to supply timber to defendant's mill, and he had found out since that some of the trees had been taken from the plaintiffs land. He told defendant last August that the son of plaintiff told him that he was taking timber off his father's land. James Stevens gave evidence as to thevalue of the trees. Plaintiff was nonsuited with cost*.
