(BY BLEOTRW TELEQRAPH—OOPYKMIIT) REUTER'B TELEGRAMB, London, July 31. It is announced that Viscount Granbrook has been appointed Lord President ol the Council. A hitch occured in conneciiori with the formation of the now ministry, the Marquis of Salisbury experiencing difficulty in filling the remaining portfolio owing to the claims of Sir Ilichord Cross to the important office. The Australian Cricketers were entertained at a banquet last night by M. Dangar of Sydney. Mr Scott, captain of the team, in responding to the toast of the evening, admitted his team were unequal to the flower of English cricketers. Lord Harris who spoke during the ovening, attributed the small success of the visitors to the accident which Spofforth received to his hand. The death is announced of Abbe Franz Liszt, the celebrated Hungarian pianist, aged 75 years.
