Sight policemen are on foot disguised, and two newspaper reporters, mounted, are scouring the Waitakerei Ranges, but they hjvve never sighted men. Yesterday the poliioe reached a settler's house an hour and a half after the suspects, but the trav-e was again lost. From suspicions, movements, and the positive identification by settlers, the police are confident theso are tie murderers.
