London, July 22. The resignation of Mr Gladstone nhd his colleagues has been accepted by the Qneen, and Her Majesty has summoned the Marquis of Salisbury to undertake the formation of a new Ministry.
The contest for the Corporation Cup was won by Armstrong, Canadian. The following prizes in the match weie won by Australians .'-Private Churchill, £18; Fenn, A 8., Sergt, Grimes, and Private Allen, £8 each; Captain Powell, Lieut. Cook,. Color-Bergt, Gee, Lieut. The Australians who had followed on for their second innings, were only able to score 128, or a total of 249 for the two innings, and the All-England eleven thus won i the match in one innings, with 104 runs to spare. In the Australians' second innings the highest contributors were -Palmer, caught, 48; Trumble, caught, 20; Jones, bowled, If; Jarvis, not out, 13.
