Ak ordinary meeting of this Board \jfas held at the office of the' Beard, Eketahuna, on the 17th inst, Presout-r Messrs Baylies (Chairman), Anderson, Wilsk, McDouaid, and Vince. . : Correspondence: From County Council, wish account,of disbursements jin connection with the constitution of the now Board. From Lyon and Blair, with proofs of seals nnd prices of the same. From N. Nilson asking tobeallowedtofall the road line opposite his section, andjto be paid for the same. From.Waste Lands Board, ealling attention to an application of a selector to have his, deferred thirds spent in a particular locality. From Dawson and Co., Duthie and Co,, ahd Mills and Co., with price lists of iron safes. From County Clerk, with key'of County Office, and statinghehad instructions to insure the building. From County Engineer, complying with the request of the Board to attend to a culvert on the Alfredton Road. From .Property Tax Commissioner, with Supplementary Roll, Resolved—That the consideration of K Nilson's letter be postponed. That Messrs Anderson and Wilson be appointed to sign the rate book for a rate of one halfpenny in the £, to be collected on the 21st day of August, The question of "a complaint of the Maneaone Valley Road being blooked by bush being felled hi the track was brought up. It was resolved to write to Keester and Harding, asking them to clear the track at once. It was decided not to allocate the money from thirds andtfourths in the schedule already received until they had tho schedule of money now due, and the Clerk was instructed to apply to the Lauds Board for the same, The meeting then adjourned.
