John Beel v William Bqekeridge— Fined 4s ancicosk Jatnefr Morton,, alias William John Simmons, was oharged on the information of Constable J. Eccleton with having on tha 28th of June last,. at Greytown, uh-, lawfully and violently shot one, William Sunnei with a revolver, with intent to do him grievous bodily harm, After hearing the evidence' of the wounded man and two other witnesses, the Resident Magistrate said he was of opinion there was no case to go to a jury, and the prisoner was discharged. All the ovidence pointed to the fact that the occurrence was purely accidental. William Toogood vH. G. Houting.--. Debt £65135. Mr Gray for defendant. Judgment for defendant for £B2 9s 4d, and costs, 40s. .
