GRAND ERUPTION AT ROTOMAHANA.
EXPLORING PARTY IN DANGER.
AucrtUND, this day. The house of H. Walsh Wairoa South, was destroyed by fire with its contents at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. One of the children narrowly escaped being burned to death. The insurance which is in the Now Zealand office, but does not cover the loss.
There was a great blow up at Rotomahann at 9 this morning. Thetv was shot up a large column of steam,'mud and stones to a height of 15,000 feet. During the last ten minutes seine mxioty was felt for the safety of the exploring party in the vicinity. The aloud was soeu at Te Aroha.
