WAIRARAPA RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION.

A meeting of the Management Committee of the above Union was held at tho White Hart Hotel, Carterton, last evening. Mr Seed presided, Mmub Wickerson, Webster, Dempsey, and Jackson being also present. The Te OreOre Club was added to the Union. The following were the entries received for the Junior Cup contorts:—Masterton two teams, Greytown, Carterton, and To Oro Ore one team each. Three entries were received for the Union' Senior contests, but the Committee, on consideration, postponed the arranging of the matches sine die. Mr Webster gave notice that at the next meeting he would move, " That tho resolution referring to Senior contests be rescinded." The following rules wero drawn up to regulate the Junior Cup matches :-"That the matches be held fortnightly, commencing on June 12th, 1888, to start at 2.30 p.m. Any team not on tho ground within half an hour after tho apeoifiod time, to forfeit tho heat. Any man picked to play in a first fifteen match to bo debarred from playing in the Junior contest. That it be played in single lieats, once losing a match the team to drop out. The Cup to bo won twice in succession or threo times at intervals before it becomes the absolute property of any Cjub, the winners of tho final annual contest to hold possession of tho Cup until ;ft has been won again. That the time and place of all hcatabo drawn and arranged for by the Management Committee." The drawing for the Junior Cup matches then took place, with the result that Carterton eoranetos' with Te Ore Ore at Carterton on June 12th, and Greytown with Masterton No. 1 team at Greytown on June 26fch. Masterton No. 2 team run a bye, the winners of the other matches to be drawn for as to who shall play them. The Secretary was instructed to call the attention of the Masterton Club to an infringement of the Union rales in playing with a non-Union Club (the Te Ore Ore Club) on Queen's Birthday. The meeting then adjourned.
