MASTERTON HOSPITAL.

A meeting of tlw Tnutow was held in the Institute yesterday afternoon. Prosent, Messrs J. G. Boddington (chairman), W. H. Bee'tham, JJorns, W. Perry, and Rev. W, E. The Treasurer submittedV/m estimated statement of receipts and expenditure for the current year,.which would Bhow a deficit of about £9O. It was resolved to apply to the Wairatapa East County Council and the Masterton Borough Council for a donation; of £6O and £25 respectively. The secretary was instructed to state, in making the application, that this would obviate the necessity of a rate being struck. • The Rev. W. E. Paigo calledltttentioii to the fact that the firewood was not under cover, and the visiting member was requested to attend to the matter. ' - The Committee of ways and meam were instructed to arrango about BocunnK a strip of land at the rear of the Hospital grounds. A sub-committee asled for an extension of time for bringing .up a report upon proposed rules and regulations as they were waiting for a copy of the Wellington and Ohristchurch Rules, now under consideration. » Mr Joseph lorns was metnbor for the month, and the meeting closed.
