MASTERTON HOSPITAL.
A meeting of tlw Tnutow was held in the Institute yesterday afternoon. Prosent, Messrs J. G. Boddington (chairman), W. H. Bee'tham, JJorns, W. Perry, and Rev. W, E. Paige, The minutes ofjbhe pre vious meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported a credit balanco of £l2 7b 7(1. A letter was read from Mrs A. Ewington,'requesting an extract from the hospital diary in referonco to her being rofused admission to that institution. It was resolved that no notice be taken of the letter. The hospital diary \m read, w an account from M. Caselberg and Co;Ttores> and provisions £l9 14s, was passed M payment. The Treasurer submittedV/m estimated statement of receipts and expenditure for the current year,.which would Bhow a deficit of about £9O. It was resolved to apply to the Wairatapa East County Council and the Masterton Borough Council for a donation; of £6O and £25 respectively. The secretary was instructed to state, in making the application, that this would obviate the necessity of a rate being struck. • The Rev. W. E. Paigo calledltttentioii to the fact that the firewood was not under cover, and the visiting member was requested to attend to the matter. ' - The Committee of ways and meam were instructed to arrango about BocunnK a strip of land at the rear of the Hospital grounds. A sub-committee asled for an extension of time for bringing .up a report upon proposed rules and regulations as they were waiting for a copy of the Wellington and Ohristchurch Rules, now under consideration. » Mr Joseph lorns was metnbor for the month, and the meeting closed.
