In the R, M. Court-yesterday, the case. Hood and Shaw v Henry King was heard. . It was a claim for £2O damages for injuries to a horse, Mr Skipper appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Beard for defendant. In support :of tho case Frank Hood deposed that on January 28 he let ahorse on hire to defendant, Henry King, a surveyor of Pahiatua, who stated he wanted to go to Tinui. Next day the horse was returned by defendant between five and six o'clock. On returning from toa wittiOßß.. found the horse blinded in' one oyo, cut and lacoratcd about-the face, and legs swelled and bleeding, Tho injuries must have been done with a stick. The eye was well now after threo months.
