WEST BUSH ROAD.
(To the Editor,)
Sir,—Having read the report of the Borough Council meeting on Tuesday last, I see that we are almost as far behind as ever regarding tho opening, of West Bush road! After a petition of fifteen ratepayers being sent in prayins; that something should be done to givo the residents a road to their properties before they are completely blocked in by fencing, Wo believe Mr Beetham is about to start to erect his fences, and what are tho residents to do then ? We must give you to understand that the whole of those fifteen signatures were Borough ratepayers who have no other route to their property except the one mentioned in the petition. Thero arc settlers on this line of route that have paid rates for upwards of six years, and the whole of tho time had to trespass on private property to got to their own. I am, &c, One of the lucky ones.
