John Marriott was fined 6a without costs for allowing a chimney to become foul. \ •
Archibald OampboUwas charged with driving five horses without harness through the Btreots. In support of the case a copy of the Borough Bylaws were produced, but owing to the dirty and dilapidated state of the paper tho laws were not decipherable. The Bench remonstrated with tho Borough official far producing such a document in Court, who promised to report the matter in the proper quarter. Through tho laws not being sufficiently explicit, the case was withdrawn. civil- cases, B. Mannering vF. G. Mangnusen.— Debt £5 9s 6d for bricks supplied. Judgment for amount and costs. Mrs Yates v R. Jaques.-Judgment summons. Ordered to pay 7s (id a week, or in default fourteen days' imprison-' uicnt. C. Prangnell vO. Oatham. Judgment summons £3 3s sd. Ordered to pay £1 a month or ten days' imprisomeiifc.
