The Puruhia cheese factory, between Hamilton and Ahaupo, was destroyed by bre at one o'clock yesterday morning. Tliii manager's house and contents were destroyed. There woro twelvo tons of cheese in the factory at .the time. The building, machinery, and cottage were insured in the National office for £9OO. It is not known yefc whether the cheese, valued at £6OO, was insured.
