NEARLY THREE MILLIONS DEFICIT.

THE REVENUE FROM ALOOHOL ONE MILLION UNDER THE ESTIMATE,'

TURKS AND GREEKS.

London, April 15, Received April 16th 7.30 p.m,Sir Win. Vernon Hareourt Chancellor of the Exchequer made the Budget Statement in the House of Commons to-night. The revenue for the financial year just closed amounts to eighty. nine millions live hundred thousand. The expenditure for the same period was ninety-two millions two hundred and fifty thousand or two millions seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds more than the revenue. The revenue for the ensuing financial year is (stiamtftd at ninety millions five hundred thousand pounds, and the expenditure at eighty-nine' millions eight hundred and seventy-live thousand. The revenue from customs and excise on alcoholic beverages for twelve months, was one million' below the estimate. It is proposed to meet the deficiency by taking eight hundred thousand from the sinking fund. No increase of taxation is contemplated, Constantinople, April 15,
