The minutes of the previous meeting wero read and confirmed.
The Treasureo reported a balance in the Bank of £L*9 7s Bd, and balance for future expenditure £30719 a 2d.
■ Accounts amounting to £4B 0s Bd, were passed for payment
CORRESPONDENCE,
From Mr Elder requesting that the road line on tho lower part of the hill on, the opposite Bide of the should be defined, and made reasonably passable for- traffic. " ' From the County Clerk re correspondence in connection with the new Road District for Whareanw
Sa.m.o wrfch printed circular on local Government matters,
From Property Tax Commissioner stating that the subsidy due to the Board had been paid into the Bank. Same re rates due on native lands. resolved. That the Government subsidy due tq tjiis. Board, be appropriated towards the reduction of the amount'of. the Speoial Works rate to be levied over the Castlepoint Riding,
■ An amendment to the above resolution was carried to the effect that the Govern.merit subsidy be divided prorata amongst the sub-divisions,
That tho BJairlogie road receive a pro rata proportion of tho Government subsidy. That a grant from the funds of No 6 sub-division be- made to complete the PUtthjg, apt} erect a Bridge on the Aohanga hill road, That a grant be made out of No. 7 sub-division account to assist in completing the cutting on Aohonga hill. That a grant be made for general repairs ou the Pakowai road.
That a grant be made for the necessary repairs on the Uriti road. That a small'grant be made to improve the road to Messrs Hawkins' and Groves' properties at Adarn'a Peak," That a grant be made to improve the orossing in the Whakaroro creek on the Blackhill lino.
That a chain of metalling be clone from the Tinui hotel towards the stables.
That a grant be made for necessary repairs on the Oastlepoint road,
That a grant of £BO be made to complete metalling on the Castlepoint road. That about 4 chains of the road from the Castlepoint toward Peaches Bridge be metalled.
_ That the men employed by Mr Morrison on Blairlogio road bo discharged and that Mr Morrison be requested to furnish an account of the time.
The next meeting will be held on the 6th March.
