MASTERTON-MONDaY. Before SY. H. Bebtham and W. H, HosJoseph Freeth v William Sylyeajtor. Pulford,—Claim 3s, The plaintiff sued the defendant for 3s, being the price of two copies of the Electorial Roll, forwarded to the defendant on his written repeat, in which he expressed the pleasure he wfluld feel at Bending the money in stamps if the rolls were supplied. The rolls were supplied accordingly, but although defendant was'twice asked to send the money no reply was received, The 'plaintiff therefore Bued for the' amount. The plaintiff called the Resident Magistrate, who 'hid declined to hear the case, and he produced 1 a letter from Messrs i Burton and feeesing) eojiqitors 'at Auckland, in "which they revested him"'as R.M., to nonsuit the plaintiff with cpgtg on certain legal points quoted by them for his guidance. All this, for a case involving the enormous sum of 3s I Judgment was entered by the Justices for amount and 7s costs for the plaintiff,
