For some time past some sixty or seventy gentlemen, candidates for an advertised appointment as Government Insurance Valuor, have been anxiously waiting the decision of the Board, or rather of the Govorninent which controls the Board and jobs its patronage, The agitation over the Driver scandul has, however, made Ministers funk, and we are now told that no appointment will be made, and that scores of expectant applicants have been made fools of.
