Delegates from the various colonies to Federal Council were invited to a picnic to-day, and were entertained in the evening by the Mayor of Hobart. Mklbournb, January 30. The second day's racing of the Geelong Racing Club wore marred by a fatal accident, Hunt, the well-known jockey, bing killed in the steeple chase, London, January 30. It is announced that Mr Gladstone has set about the formation of a Ministry, but nothing is known w to the constitution except that the Marquis of flarrington will have a seat in the Cabinet.
