UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.
The usual meeting of the above Board was held on Monday at Bowlands, Present—Messrs Hawkins (chairman), Hood, Perry, Rutherfurd and Wingate. : The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, A letter was read froni Blr Perptqn re considering Mr Perry's application.' Resolved—That the Board is prepared: to allow £23 on current rates and subsidy.: on the line below Bideford to their road' section, if Messrs Perry and Perston will find the balance of the estimated cost, the Board, so far as they can, giving credit for siiph advance out ,bf future rates. It was f».oj,ed by Mr Hawkins, and seconded.by Mr'''.Perry, That Mr Hood take the chair." It was' resolved, That the County' Engineer be'requested to''examine into, and report oh Michael .Dowlihg's contract otf'ihe Wairere road.'•'• ' ' • ■ ;<•.-■• That £6l6s be paid p Leonard Pol.
