Tho principal event was the Carinejton Stakes ot 1000 snvs, seven hundred to the first horse, two hundred to the second, and' one hundred to the third. Distance, one mile and three furlongs, A field of nineteen horses faced the starter, but of these, only two horses were placed, Ben Bolt being first and Tempo second. Third place was not awarded. Ben Bolt won an exciting finish on the post by a neck. Time, two minutes twenty-six seconds.
