LOWES AND IORN'S LAND SALE.
This sale attracted a larcje audience to their rooms on Saturday last. The first land offered was'a portion of the Manaia Estate, comprising upwards of 200 acres of which 168 acres were sold, the prices ranging from £2O to £4l per acre, making a total of £4OOO, or an avorage of £23 8s per acre, the purchasers being bona fide settlers, andnotinanyinstancespeculators, The leases of acres 42,10(5, and 89, were sold in lots of | an acre each, the annual rentals varying from £2 to £5. The house tjnd land in the estate of thejlate Mra Ray n er, was bought by Mr John Rayner for £450. The Rangitumau property comprising 360 acres with stock was bought in at £4 10s por acre, and is now open for private sale.
