CASTLEPOINT ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Board was hfild on Saturday laßt, Present Messrs Mackay (Chairman), Harvey, Handyside, Langdon, Maunsell, and Warren. Theminutos of the previous meet-in? were read and confirmed. Accounts amounting to £4710s 6d were passed , for payment. Correspondence was read from the County Engineer,-re Whakaroro road deviation. The Oevrsegr-'fi report was read and com sidered, and thd following resolutions were agreed to .—That a small amount bo impended in improving the road to Glencoo, That the Blaqk JHill track 'be improved by a cutting from the deep oreek. That an application be made to the Telegraph Department for a share of the cost of metalling in front of the Office at Tinui. That an allowance of £5 12s be made to J. Henderson for extra metalling at flint'outting. That a.culvert be put in before the metal is put on the section of the Tinui Valley road. . That about 12 chains of side putting be made on the Akifcio river road,'' That a settlement of accounts be the Upper Taueru Road Board and also between [ Alfredton Road Board, and . that agreelie cutting qn tho' Oahiinga hilt he opt}tinned on to the creek jihjs Board to 511b: Bidise the-county grant,- That fresh tenders be called for metalling on Flint Cutting, to close on 9th January. That the necessary repairs be made to the main road from MaunselPs gate to the Totara Gutting. That the Olerk apply to the County Olerk for copies of all resolutions, special orders, and correspondence in connection with tho proposed new rqa{} district for Whare'ama, That the Finanpe Committee be authorised to pass accounts »t their next meeting.'
