Play continuedtill 6.30 p.m., and Wellington won the ladies' and gentlemen's singles and ladies' double, but lost the mixed and gentlemen's doubles. The late J, Twigger, of Addington, who some months ago endowed the Agricultural and Pastoral Association with live acres of land, has left the bulk of his estate, sworn under £17,000, to the Old Men's Home, the Lyfctelton Orphanage, and the Female Refuge, His widow gets an annuity, and £2300 is left in legacies to his doctor, servants, sons, and friends, and various benevolent institutions of Ohristchurch.
