Each raco will start punctually at the time appearing iu tho correct cards of the races. The flat races to be run under the L.V.J.C. Rules, The Steeplechase under tho N.Z.G.N.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horses.allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before tile time of starting. All entries and nominations to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to tho Secretary, enlrancc money to be enclosed with color, sex, namo, age and pedigree of the horso, name of owner and colore of tho rider. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with tho Secretary in writing, within fifteen minutes after the raco ib run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited If the protest is not sustained. No entry will bo received for any of tho races, except on conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall bo decided by a majority of tho stewards present, or those whom they may appoint.
