United Press Association. Wellington, this day, The Zealandia with the October colonial mails arrived at San Francisco on the Ist inst,, two days in advance of due c]ate. The Australia with the London October mails, loft 'Frisco for Auckland on the 24th ult., time table date. Auckland, this day. The Wairarapa arrived from Gisborne at 2,30 yesterday, an immense crowd being on the wharf when she came alongside. She presented an unusual appear-' ance amidships, but gave no indications of extra damage below. The cargo-is uninjured, the water being kept out by the bulkheads, The passengers have presented a highly complimentary address to Capt. Chatfield, and subscribed a sum of money for the stewardess. Individual losses of passengers are exceptionally heavy. The investigation seems to show the origin of the fire was the bursting of a kerosene lamp left alight in the boot room,
