CRICKET.
The return cricket match, between the Opaki and Tradesmen's Cricket Clubs was played on Saturday, when the former managed to reverse the previous order of things by securing a victory. The tradesmen went in first, and and only put together 20, towards which Jackson contributed 6, there being four ducks eggs, due to the manner in which F. Welch trundled the leather. Opaki followed and scored 28, A. Welch being top scorer with 8. Iggulden took 6 wickets. In the second innings the Tradesmen scored 31, Minifie and Jaokson each being credited with 8. E. Welch and Boulcott each took three wickets. The Opaki team got 60 for the loss of nine wickets, P. Welch topping the score with 18. Iggulden took five wickets ana Minifie three. The conquering match will probably be played at an early date.
