FIRE AT GEAR MEAT CO'S YARDS.

Wellington, this day. A tire broke out early this morning in the Gear Meat Company's boiling down works at Petone, which were destroyed, with a large quantity of tallow. The slaughter yards and treezing works were saved. No particulars have yet been received in town,
