Napier, October C. The Hawkesßay J.C, Spring meeting was largely attended, and the weather was fine. The following are the results : Free Handicap, of 100 sovs; one mile and a distance.

The Maiden Hurdles was won by Mangaliaone, with Loch Lomond second and Greyling third.
Hawkes Bay Guineas, of 250 sovs, with a sweepstake of 10 sovs added for acceptors; one mile, Waititi (A. Woods) 1 Soudan (W, Clifford) ... 2 Bonny Blink (Farrel) ... 3 Revoke 0 Flying Handicap, of 125 sovs; six furlongs. Mr lorns' Pasha, 7st 101b 1 Messrs Stock & Conroy's Miss Dargon, 6st 121b 2 Mr Miutagh's The Bard, Bst 2lb ... 3 Four others started. Won right out by two lengths. Time, lmin. 17 l-oth sec.
