THEATRE ROYAL.
The " Ticket-of-leave Man was presented to an excellent house at the Theatre Royal by Miss Lizzie Lawrenco's Company, assisted by local amateurs, last night. The play is a favorite one with playeis and public, and nearly always' 1 takes well." Last night it ran as smoothly as the most fastidious in matters histrionic could desire. 411 the parts were well represented, and not a point was missed. Miss Lizzie Lawrence appeared-as the heroine, May Edwards. She dressed very nicely, and gave the various scenes in which she appeared the amount of light and shado required to make them attractive, Miss Beaufort's" Sammy" was irressistibly funny, and few could recognise her in her disguise. Miss Norris did justice to "Mrs Willoughby;" Mr G. Coker made an excellent "Melton Moss," while "Brierley" had a good representation in Mr Foley. Mr Rede's "Hawkshaw" was a masterly piece, of acting. Mr Dillon had an easy task in " Mr Gibson," and, of course, acquitted himself well. The samo remark applies to Mr Berkley's" Dalton." Lady Audley's Secret has been billed for to-night.
