Wellington, This day. At the Resident Magistrates Court, a man named Grimes was charged with acting as a medical man without being possessed of the necessary qualifications. It appears that he has attended several patients, and in one case gave a certificate of death. Grimes did not appear, and a warrant lias been issued for his arrest. The Registrar General stated that Grimes had applied to be registered as a medical, practitioner, but. the certificate was refused on the ground of no qualifications, Samuel Waters appeared at Court on a charge of perjury, alleged to have been committed in his evidence in tha Hutt tarring case, in connection with the handcuffs used on that occasion, The case is proceeding.
