THURSDAYLEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. < The Reform of the Council Committer reported that they had no reoommendatioil to make as to any amendment or alteration of the constitution of the Council. The Customs and Excise Duties
Bill, and Shipping' and Seamans Bill, and Fisheries Encouragement Bill, were read a second time, _ The Life Assurance Policies Bill, trad iTuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes Bill were read a third time, the former being and progress was reported in the latter. The Westlimd and Grey Education Board Bill, and River Boards Bill were read a second time. Progress was reported on the Rating sll, The Council adjourned at 5 p.m.
