CATERTON.—TUESDAY. Before H. A, Stratford, R.M., and B. Boys.J.P. J. Burrow and W. G. Beard v W Willis. —Adjourned from last sitting. Judgment for defendant, each party to pay its own cost. Notice of appeal was given by plaintiff. J. Gallie vG. Dew.—Debt, £2l7s 4d. Judgment for £2 3s 4d, and costs, 10s. J. Armstrong vR L. Wakelin. Mr Sandilauds for plaintiff, and Mr Beard for defendant. The claim was to recover of the Bum of £4 8s Bd, for hauling logs to the defendant's mill. In this case Mr Boys left the Bench. His Worship recommended the solicitors to meet and amend the particulars, meanwhile an expert to measure the timber, and let the case stand adjourned till next sitting of the Court, which was accepted, Costs to go with the result of the case. J. Ray v —Crew, Mr Board for plaintiff applied to have it entered on the back of the summons to be left with any inmate of the house apparently over the ago of 14 years, as the bailiff had been once with the summons to Waiuuioru and the defendant's wife stated that her husband was not at home. The application was granted. This conoluded the business, and the Court rose; GREYTOWN-WEDNESDAY. Before H. A, Stratford, R.M. Daniel Cameron v W. Whifcorod.— Allowing chimney to catch fire. Fined Sb and costs, A. L. Webster v Williams.—Failing to attend parade. Pined 5s and costs. MASTERTON.-THIS DAY.' Sergt. McCardle v P. C. Frasi. Breach of Liconaing Act, in supplying liquor to a prohibited person. It appears from the evidence that defendant purchased some liquor at an hotel, and carried it a\wy to' another street, whero he handed it to a person against whom a prohibition order has been issued. The facts wer« not denied. Fined £1 and costs.
