DR BEARD IN EXPLANATION.
To the Editor. Sill,—With regard to the case of Willett, you would have acted with courtesy and goUt the truth had you sent to me for particulars, in place of misrepresenting the case as you have done, and my action ill the matter. The facts are as follows Yesterday two lads came to ray house saying that a man had cut his throat, and the police were bringing him down to me. I told them to tell the police to take him straight to the hospital. After some halfhour or so, Willett was walked to my gate between two constables, and one came to tell me he was outside. I examined him, and told the constables to take him to Neill's, get a conveyance, and take him to the Hospital. ■ Yours faithfully, Spencer F. Beaud.
