R.M. COURT.
CAETERTON—TUESDAY. Before H. A. Stratford, R.M., andß. Boys, J.P. W. Philpot v. E, H. Buckeridge— Allowing oliimney to catoh fire. Fined 3s and costs. Patrick M, Hastie was charged by Constable Darby with drunkenness. The Constable informed the Court that the defendant was in such a state'that he had to oall in medical aid, The Court remanded, the prisoner to Wellington Hospital for one week for curative treatment. R. Hooker v. J, Armstrong—Claim £7lßs 4d. Defendant paid in £2l6s and disputed the remainder of the claim. Judgment for £5" 13s bd and costs, T. Ray v. P. Crewe—Claim, £2, for money lent. Defendant said he had never had the money. Plaintiff was nonsuited, J. Burrow aud W. 0. Beard v W. Willis,—Rent,£l815s, This was a case which involved a large- number of dry legal arguments, Mr Gray appearing for the plaintiffs, and Mr Bunny for defendant. The case occupied tho Court for some hours, Judgment was reserved until next sitting, Theio were a number of cases on the list, in which either judgment was confessed or the differences were settled out of Court,'
