In regard to standard desks foi\ the infant school at Masterton, the Board decided to adhere to the decision of its committee, and could not grant the desks asked for, The resignation of Mrs Farrer, mistress at Bideford school, was accepted. Messrs Beetliam, " Bunny and Buchanan were appointed to meetji deputation from the Carterton school re the boundaries of the district, should fcliey arrivo. Mr A. Shelton, Eketahuna, was granted a bonus for attendance as teacher, and the School Committee of Pahiatua was requested to recommend a pupil teacher for the school. The Board also agreed to send more desks to the school. Miss Ward was appointed pupil teacher at Kaitara.. In regard to the request of Mr T. Wakelin, of Kaitara, to be relieved from teaching pupil teachers, the Board decided not to agreo to this, L 6 was granted for repairs to the Tinui residence, The Board authorised the Committee to call for fresh tenders for Dalefieldjfencing and clearing, upon modified specifications. L6los was voted for fencing, and LlO for shelter sheds at Eketahuna. PUPIL TEACHER EXAMINATION. The following is the result of the pupil teacher examination of Wairarapa candidates, who are classified as follows:—End of 4th year (over 19), Lois Feist, Fernridge; Agnes Haigh, Grey'town. 4th year (over 18), Clara Francis, Clareville; Elizabeth Marshall, Masterton. 3rd year, (over 17), Arthur Moore, Carterton ; Isabella Munro, Masterton ; Emma Stuart Forbes, Carterton. Second year (over 16), Esther Craig, Featherston. First year (over 15), Cliffe, Belvidere; Adolph Feist, Fernridge ; Annie Feist, Masterton; Grace Walton, Masterton; Mary Ward, Kaitara.
