By tlie evidence of the complainant it was shown that tho defendant was in the habit of coming home in a state 'of intoxication, and then assaulting her. On one occasion he broke a chair and then thrashed her with the pieces. The order was made as prayed for, to take effect ffonTthe Ist January' 18^5.
