UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of tho Board was held on Monday, at Bowlands. Present—Tho Chairman, and Messrs Hood, Wingate, Perry, and Rutherfurd. ' The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The rate book was produced and ordered to be signed. .. The estimates for the Bideford-Alfred-ton extension were produced. The Chairman informed the Board that the plans, estimates, and applications under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act had been sent'in. . Chequps amounting to £ll Is 6d, for work' done on the Bideford-Tiraumea line, were signed. It was resolved that gates be erected on

tho Bideford-Tiraumea line and on the Glendonald-Manawa road, and twoßub-' division fences on Glendonald, The Returning Officer deckgajohn Rutherfurd to be duly elected aTsiember of the Board.

Plans and estimates of Messrs Perry and Preston's cutting were produced, It was resolved that Mr Perry confer with Mr Preston, and report the result at the next meeting. _ '

It was resolved that £1 7a be paid to Mr A. Wakelin. for work done on the Bideford-Alfredton line.

It was proposed by Mr Perry, seconded by, Mr Rutherfurd, that the ordinary meeting of the Board be the first Monday in October. .Carried. Cheques were ordered to be signed for work done by Mr Wingate on the Bideford-Tiraumea line up ft) the amount of £O, also for L2 2s, beiig the election expenses for the Returning Officer. The meeting then adjourned.
