The following amended motion by Mr Macandrew was,.after an hour's, discussion, agreed to:—"That for the' emainder of the session the House meet

Mr Fiizheebbbt's motion, that a momber's speech shall be deemed to be concluded after a second counting of the House, was negatived, The following motion by Mr Bbetham was agreed to:-" That a copy of the report of Mr Davy on the case of Mr. Sutton, late Sheep Inspector of the Wairarapa District, be laid before this House."

Mr Fisher's motion, that a sum be placed on, the estimates for the purpose of putting the streets on the reclaimed land in Wellington in a proper state of repair, was under discussion when the House rose at 5.30 At the evening sitting, Sir GeorgeGrey moved the second reading of the Plurality of Yoting and .Law Practitioners' Bills, each of which ho carried by two votes. . .
