WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD.

Pkess Association. The Education Board met to day. The reception of a deputation from Masterton re erecting a side school was adjourned until 2.30. Re the appointment of Miss Jupp at Masterton the Board held that as she was selected by them, and subsequently confirmed by th.6 Committee, and had therefore received her appointment, the Board cannot take further, notion. The Board could not aocedo to a request for flooring at the shelter sheds at Miaterton. In regard to the dismissal of a teacher the matter was left with the Chairman to deal with; to give three mouths notice, or, if possible, three months pay instead, The Mangaone school was constituted an aided school, in terms o| the Board's regulations. Additions to! the Waikakeke residence were granted. Extra expenditure, not to. exceed £5, was allowed for Pabjatoa school. £lO was granted for the Di'eyertown shelter sheds. The Belvidere fencing was ordered to be sawn stuff, trenailed to posts, with three rails, It was decided to call for tenders the for fencing at the Wangaeliu school, Finance Committee to deal with tenders. With regard to passing of plans for new schools, it was agreed to pass none, unless the same bear tho approval of the Committee.
