' RESOLVED. That' in accordance • with Notice given, the Board now strike a general ri'te of |d in the £, on all ratable property in the. district for the year, commencing on the Ist of July 1885, to,the 30th of June 1886, and to bo made payable on the lst .Jof August, 1885. The rate book to be open for inspection till the 6th of July. That tlie clerk write to the Ei|st County Council asking if the road laid off by Mr King through the Government reserve, Block VII, Mangahao Survey District, has been proclaimed a public road; if not, requesting them to proclaim it'at once. ■lt wasresolved that the clerk write for the remaining plan of the Toritea Puketoi road from Mr Oreville's deviation to the main road. The overseer's report was read and approved, and he'wa? instructed to do the necessary work; arid also to take measurements of creeks etc. on the Maungaramarama road, so that tenders may be called for bridges at as early a date as possible. •' .The following acounta were passed for payment;-
