It js announced that a treaty has been concluded between Germany and the rebel chief Laroo, and that Germany has demanded that the sultan of Zanzibar shall discontinue Iptjjitio's towards that chief. The NordrDeutsche'Zejfung,'' a semi-official organ of the Goyernment, inferring to the question,' disclaims all designs on the part of Germany to acquire territory at Zanzibar, but expresses a hope that England will induce the sultan to desist from provoking Germany.
