We havb before us the complete retut'nß of land in cultivation in the Counties of Wairarapa East and West. The figures are as follows:—Wairarapa East; Number of holdings, 508; land broken up, 613 acres; in wheat, 1,216 acres, 30,179 bushels, oats, for green food or hay, 183 acres, for grain 1,549 acres. 48,496 bushels;barley. 80 acres, 2,570 bushels; potatoes, 139 acres, 906 tons; turnips or rape, 1,808 acres; other crops, 57 acres; total number of acres under crop, 5,032; hay, 960 acres, 1,270 tons; land in grass after having been broken up, 15,680 acres; ditto, surface sown, 229,728 acres; grass seed, 7,580 bushels; garden and orchard 277 acres, Wairarapa West ; Number of holdings, 619; land broken up, 981 acres; wheat, 478 acres, 9,612 bushels; oats, for green food or hay, 368 acres, for grain, 1,551 acres, 41,047 bushels; barley, 21 acres, 597 bushels; potatoes, 142 acres, 870 tons; turnips or rape, 3,915 acres; other crops, 72 acres; totalr numbe of acres under crop, 6,547; hay, 1,274 acres, 1,709 tons; in grass after having been broken up, 22,613 acres; ditto, surface sown, 194,299 acres; grass seed, 2,468 bushels; garden and orchard, 347 acres.
