The monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Monday lapt a( Brands. Present—Messrs (Chairman), Br P: fty'ry, Wingfitc, Rutherford, and H. Vile, The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, A letter was read frqm the City Council, wjth p account of £4 ids, f ur expends cqnneoted with the formation of the District rpl The amount vap ordered to be paid, Tho Chairman reported that the agreement with the Masterton Board had been sealed, The Chairman said that tho works on Mr Rutherford's wad had cost £O, but that it was imperative to keep the traok open at any cost, Mr Wiugate applied for monoy to erect a bridge composed of stringers and fascines over a bad hole in the road, about two miles from his house; also'for money to continue the work of clearing and sidecutting on the same road; for a cheque to be paid John Herbert forbushfalling; for a cheque to be paid Leonard Pol for fiidcrCuUing, formation and clearing on the samo road,
The Board sanctioned tho continuaqco of the work on Mr Wingate's road up to the extent of £ls.

Mr H, Vile then applied for permission to clear a short piece of land from the end of the Maori gardens to the road leading to Mr Miller's,
The Board agreed that if Messrs Hood and Walker consent to the proposed line, which Is on their land, the sum of £1 be haii'ded'to Mr Vile on the completion of the work, the said worlt 'tq bejjbne to the satisfaction of the Board, the width ohlie clearing to be 20ft. Mr Wingate asked the Board to sow the side of his bush road with grass seed. The Chairman offered a bag of seed if M r Wlpfg wou](| take it tip, As therg W no 'other' : business to trpsagt, the meeting terminated.
