TREATMENT FOR HAY FEVER.
A Dialogue, Patient: " Doctor, I think I must have hay fever, lam troubled with continual sneezing and irritation in the nose and head, Pray examino me, and tell me what you think of my case." Doctor: " Indeed, my dear young lady, I see that yours is a very severe caso of genuine hay fever." Pfitient: "Then tell me, doctor, how can i possibly get rolief from the trouble-' some disorder ?" Doctor: " May I ask, is your father a wealthy or a poor man ?" Patient: "Ohlhe is very rich," Doctor: " All! then let me recommend you to make a long visit to Akaroa fir or any tjther pheerful and fashionable seaside resort," " Patient: "But what would you advise if my father was poor 1" Doctor:" Oh, then I should recommend you to stay home and snuff salt, This is really tho quickest cure—too quick, indeedj fpr a viph man's daughter." fatjent: "But will tho climate at Waiwo'ra cure me permanently, doctor ?" Doctpr;!' Oh, bless you, no. Have no fear about that. The disease will return eyery year just when you want to get away for a change." They parted, mutually satisfled.
