The Rev Ralph William Lyone' Tollomache-Tollemache, : rector of South Wythara, Lincolnshire, recently wrote the following extraordinary letter, which- was sent by the recipient to the ' Stamford Mercury' and was placarded on the walls of Carlisle during the Congress week

The 'Church Times' iopes that some personal eccentricity maybe pleaded by Mr Tollemache'a friends in mitigation of what would otherwise be inexcusable;" and it suggests that mental strain caused by having children named as his are, would be enough to account for any cerebral irritation. It seems that Mr Tollemache, who is a cadet of Lord Dysart's family, has been wedded twice. For the nine , children of his first marriage he was content with four or.4ve pines spjj. ;sbe offspring qf second alliance, however, are, according to " Foster's Peerage," provided for as follows; 1, Lyulph Ycjwallo Qdin Nestor Egbert Lyonel Toedmag Hugh Erchenwyne Saxon Esa Cromwell Orma Nevill Dysart Plantaganet; 2. Mabel Helmingham Ethel Huntingtower, Beatrice Blazzonberrie Evangeline Vise de Loui de Orellane Plantaganot Toedmag Saxon; 3. Lyonnesse Matilda Dora Ida Agnes Ernestine Curzon Poulet Wilbraliam Joyce Eugenie Bentley Saxonia Dysart Plantaganet;, 4, Lyona Decima Veronica ■ Eoyth Undine Cyssa Hyldo Pioweru Ada Phyra Ursula Ysabel Blanche Lelias Dysart Plantagenet -in all fiftynine, or an average of nearly' fifteen each. ■
